I've said it before, and I'll say it again - we as a fanbase are far too quick to start cults based about bad managers. Keane almost relegated us and had us playing bad football and people STILL occasionally say 'yeah, he'll do a job for someone with the right assistant ad chairman' and Lambert relegated us playing toothless, patternless Lambingo and they sang songs about him and made a banner.
Mick's main failing was accepting his limitations and adjusting accordingly, using a word that a section were constantly screaming at him(usually with other nasty words attached to it) and staying on a season too long, because the owner asked him to. [Post edited 15 Oct 2021 10:39]
