My take for what its worth is that this has been a deliberate ploy along to to take us to the edge of oblivion with Truss because any other theory doesn't stand up to scrutiny. It was obvious all along Truss would be a disaster.
Not sure it will be Johnson but lets say a Morduant / Sunak leader repairs and stabilises and in 2 years time with the electorate accepting that whilst our savings have been relieved of us we aren't acting like sewer rats in the gutter and just about scrapping by.
