Form table is quite a split on 17:16 - Feb 21 with 1199 views | HighgateBlue | Let's not worry about the minutiae of a 6-game table, especially where we're separated from the two teams above us on goal difference or goals scored. I think that's too few games to have a great deal of meaning, especially where twice as many of those games were away than at home. What it does show however, is that Wednesday, Dons, Plymouth and Oxford are holding their form pretty well. We're gonna have to catch at least one of those (we need to catch 3 of the 6 teams immediately above us - I can't see us catching the top two for an instant). It's slightly less arbitrary to look at the 10 game form table, as that coincides exactly with McKenna taking charge, and there's a better balance between home and away games. On that table, no team has more points than us, and we're sufficiently ahead of Oxford, Wycombe and Sunderland to indicate that we would catch them. I think those are the three teams that we have the best chance of catching. Having said all that, the reality is that we'll probably need at least 2 ppg from here on in, and in doing so I think we'll need to beat (or at least not lose against) Oxford. That's achievable if we carry on our good run. Four home games under McKenna, four wins, one goal conceded. We should have too much for Cheltenham, and then we're right in the mix.

Form table is quite a split on 17:37 - Feb 21 with 1081 views | clive_baker | Oxford are definitely one the ones to catch IMO. 2 wins in their last 5, we're 5 points behind, same number of games played. Still to travel there which is a great opportunity for us to put the cat among the pigeons. 5 games between now and that one, but if we're still max 5 pts behind them going into that one it'll be massive. They'll be looking at their fixtures and thinking they have a couple of winnable games coming up, but if we can keep picking up the wins it puts a lot of pressure on them. It's looking like 6 clubs after 3 spots. Plymouth could be out of sight if they win their games in hand. Would be lovely if Wycombe and Sunderland can continue their horrible form and Plymouth and Sheff Wed could slip up too to really put us on an even keel.

Form table is quite a split on 17:37 - Feb 21 with 1085 views | Swansea_Blue | Rotherham’s the one I don’t understand. I saw their match at Hillsborough the other week and they were rubbish for large parts. Yet they somehow keep winning.

Form table is quite a split on 17:42 - Feb 21 with 1053 views | franz_tyson | It might be who’s most consistent, rather than who can go 4 or 5 game winning runs (and then go on 3-4 non-winning runs). Haven’t kept too much an eye on the form tables, but when we played Bolton and Sheff Wed they were on a poor run. They beat us and then go on winning sprees. How consistent are they? Hopefully, we’ll get on a winning streak and I don’t think we’ll go on a losing streak. Seems to be a level of consistency. Biggest stat for me is we’ve only beaten Wycombe above us. Got to beat some teams above us to get in the play-offs as well as actually winning them.

Only beaten Wycombe out of the whole top 10. A few opportunities to do something about that between now and the end of the season, as you say we'll almost certainly need to change that stat if we're to break into the top 6.

That is a sobering stat. And definitely one that will need to change.

It's what we need to consistently do. Grind out the results regardless of the performances.
