While I see your point here, it has to be seen as a little concern that while we have made a more than decent start to this season, when our mettle is properly tested against the better sides in this division, we still seem to come up short.

Exactly. But let's hold an open bus parade as we only lost 2-1 at Plymouth.

Any who dares question the fact that we are incapable of beating any of the top teams in this division, or the fact we keep blowing leads.

How dare those people be concerned about the fact we are stuck in this cr@p league

When we are very good I’ll say that, when we aren’t I’ll also say that. It’s called balance and being able to have a debate like an adult.

It's the apparent glee with which these things are said.

You have to wonder why some can't fecking wait and seem excited when we concede.

That's nothing like Norwich.
They'd have held one if they'd lost 3-1.

I think it's more the overreaction of some who seem mighty quick to point out negatives.

Maybe a bit of balance is needed. Like...I don't know....maybe we've made considerable strides forward as a club and team under KM but we aren't the finished article? And let's face it....it would odd if we were.

As a manager he's still learning...he gets a lot right but not everything and nor will he ever.

This. Second week running we allowed one of the so called top teams back into the game despite leading in both. One point overall, when we were in a position to take six, is a concern.

The same names come out with the same stuff draw or lose. You can almost smell the joy of these people that they’ve been ‘proved right’.

They haven’t been proved right at all. We lost a game to a decent team. We were always going to lose at some point though it’s a shame that it’s against a rival. Plymouth are just that after 10 games. Are we suddenly a bad team? No. Are we going to collapse like Lambert’s mob? Unlikely. Have we had the rub of the green so far with decisions? No - but that’ll change. Will form vary through the season? Yes. Do we have areas to improve on? Obviously.

This result is not a season definer. 36 games to go. We are in with a real shout in my view and were whether we’d won, drawn or lost today.

I have to disagree, sadly. Considering the make up of our midfield we're actually weak and there are signs we can all too easily lose control of games against the better sides. Our defence makes too many basic errors (albeit Chaplin was more to blame for their first, so that's the defensive side of the game rather than the defence itself) and we rarely put teams to the sword - though I acknowledge we cannot expect to score two or three goals to win all the time.

We are a massive improvement on the days of Lambert and Cook but there are too many failings in this side which have been exposed and continue to be exposed.

Ultimately if we win on Saturday we are better off than if we'd have drawn all 3. However, if we lose we've suddenly taken 1 point from a possible 9 and that is definitely concerning with another sky game on the horizon. My concern all season has been Ladapo and have been consistent with that. I do think we're a good striker short of being able to get automatics and i dont see us being a danger in playoffs as we always bottle big games, its the Ipswich way.

We need to go up this year really, it's simple as that. With our budget and squad this isn't a 3 year plan. I think we should be fine, it's been, or certainly was a great start to the season. It's still early but obviously it's disappointing to get 1 point from winning positions against two contenders on the road. We won't be able to afford many slip ups. Nothing wrong with showing concern about not seeing out games and expecting success. We're a main player at this level.

It's fine margins, with half an hour left we were three points clear going into next week, now things are quickly a bit different. So much football to be played.

I think people are forgetting that we have key people out with injuries (+ an international this week).

And I asked before when someone said this - who? Burgess wasn't rated as a starter by most, including McKenna, at the start of the season and Aluko is a bench option at best. Camara was signed injured.

And we won't be the only team with injuries. We've supposedly spent a lot of money on the squad so we're not affected by them.

Aluko was a regular & key sub till his injury.

Burgess had obviously come a long way since start of season, till he got his injury.

Burns obviously key too, despite recently dropping off somewhat.

Of course we're affected by their absences - why would we have regularly kept giving them game time if they weren't affecting how we played?!
