The week in Tory on 09:54 - Sep 29 by BlueBadger | I've said it before and I'll say it again - imagine how different the country would look now if only Milliband could eat a f*cking bacon sandwich properly. No Brexit vote and accompanying chaos, Tories splintering due to infighting and appealing to ever-for extremist elements to keep Farage away. Hell, you could probably make a case for saying that populists across the world would have had a harder time because there would have been no Brexit vote for them to take inspiration from.. It's only just occurred to me that Miliband is Jewish, and that he was being attacked for not eating pork properly

The week in Tory on 08:23 - Sep 30 by 26_Paz | Those in the cabinet are certainly acting like it at the moment! What I’m saying is it’s a bit much to lump all 13 million who voted for them in the same boat and give them a massive f- you! Would you do that to everyone who voted for Tony Blair following the Iraq war for example? If you’re going to tell everyone to F off who has at some point voted for a government that has done things you don’t agree with you are not going to have many friends ... |
Paz I genuinely ask what benefits you and your family have had from a Tory government? Why do you feel that they will be best for this country, the world in general and you? I would love for someone to show me just one good thing, or even a genuinely good all-embracing aspiration this (to me) miserable crew we have running the country has done or possesses. Will you attempt to do so? [Post edited 30 Sep 2020 10:22]

I voted for them for the promises of a reasonably hard and fast Brexit and the promise of tax cuts (or at least not the threat of tax rises that his opposition would have brought).

Those seem like pretty shallow reasons. How exactly will those things benefit the country?

To be fair, the first question was "what benefits you and your family have had from a Tory government?" Tory's don't care about the country as a whole.

I'm struggling to see how he and his family will benefit from Brexit, unless they are disaster capitalist hedge fund types.

Actually, it would be appreciated if the tone of the discussion was less abusive. Think the same overall points can still be made. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Didn't see much wrong with that to be honest, but you're the boss.

The week in Tory on 07:16 - Sep 30 by 26_Paz | I’m astonished that you get away with starting a thread telling 13 million people to f@ck off and don’t get in trouble. Another poster on here was (rightly) castigated yesterday for generalising about a religious group. You’ve just done a very similar thing about another group of people and your fanboys on here applaud you. Truly baffling. |
Here he is! | |

Thank you for answering. In voting the way you did you have waved through a devious, nationalistic, reckless, incompetent, miserable crew who will inflict more than economic pain upon all of us, including you (regardless of your wealth). As for a "reasonably hard and fast Brexit" and "the promise of tax cuts" I think you will be disappointed - a hard and fast Brexit will see the economy dip big-time, thus negating tax cuts you might have been hoping for.

We shall see re Brexit ... with regard tax cuts I can’t see any of those for a generation at least due to obvious reasons

The fact you didn’t see anything wrong with it is the whole point. You genuinely believe that 13 million people are fair game for you to swear at and abuse simply because of their political views.

Mate, I'm not going to be lectured by someone who is an apologist for racist and homophobic behaviour.

Explain to us what makes you think Brexit will be anything other than a car crash. All forecasts - including the government's own - show that Brexit will be hugely damaging economically. We are losing a range of freedoms by leaving the EU. What are the upsides?

We get to laugh at people being called bumboys without the pesky EU PC Police telling us off?

True. We also get to negotiate a trade deal with Japan that is basically identical to the one we already have through the EU.
