Disappointed no mention of Luke Varney. Kept extending temporary contracts as we couldn't ever sign anything better.

I forgot about Leon Best. Probably trying to erase the memory. Did he every get beyond jogging pace? Did he ever actually try? Abject. He made dear old Frank Nouble look like Ronaldo.

Callum Elder.

Signing made sense at the time because looked like Knudsen would be off in January. Lambert played him for a few games, then Knudsen for a bit again and afterwards gave Kenlock a run in the time and we barely saw Elder again.

Back in the day I recall listening to Radio 5 when Milton (vs Tranmere), Shakespeare and a 3rd 'poet' all scored within a few minutes of each other.

Must have been 30th November 1991. We beat Tranmere 4-0, Shakespeare scored for West Brom. Can't recall the 3rd poet though....
