Not sure I agree, tbh... Some natives are always restless, regardless.... And far better to put a functioning team together. Than sign a "name" to please a few whiners, imo.. Think every signing, so far, has improved the squad... Don't get me wrong. If the club suddenly shelled out £2m on the right player, I won't complain.. But it has to be the right player. Based on lots of things. Not just a "marque" signing... Not meaning to offend, but the term "marque" signing, just sounds like "luxury" signing, to me... No - not for me, thanks. We’ve had two summers with large numbers of players coming in, under Hurst and Cook and neither went well at all.
What we need right now is stability, cohesion and a settled line-up.

- Ball will be quality at this level and will give Morsy a little more attacking freedom.
- Ladapo also good at this level - proven.
- Leigh has all the attributes to be a good addition backed up by statistics.
- TJJ is abit of a wildcard (with a potentially high ceiling).
It's also only the 23rd June. We also have Walton, Donacien, Wolf, Fridge, Morsy, Evans, Chaplin, Burns, Aluko who were all first teamers last season.
Add a newly fit Edwards who could be a revelation and Jackson who under Mckenna was looking pretty good.
There's always a youth player or two who look to come through too.

Same crowd of demanding fans who never ever learn and demand all our business is completed by the end of June. It’s ridiculous. We have more than enough for the first few games. Clearly it’s not idea if we are waiting until later to bring players in but the right player is worth waiting for. |  |
