Ironic really, as he’ll be an NHS number in 7-14 days

I'm glad he was arrested by the Grammar Police. Although it was more of a layout infraction.

Apparently that's Jeff Wyatt, UKIP candidate for Milton Keynes and former Deputy Leader of the openly islamophobic For Britain party.

He should have got Hoppy to design his placard for him, as the one he's done reads 'I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER.'

I'm surprised none of you had spotted this.

Nottingham’s finest were out this morning too. Stupid people from this country copying stupid people from others. Natural selection at work.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Yeah and that will include plod as well, odd not one single copper with a mask but there you go.

They certainly don't seem to be worried about contracting it.

All the current advice around facemasks is that they may be appropriate to protect people indoors. The protest is outdoors.

Also, given the difficulties in sourcing PPE I'd imagine all govt. stocks are currently going to those dealing with CV patients and/or vulnerable people such as those in care homes.

So your point doesn't stack at all. The police aren't wearing face masks anywhere that I am aware of.

Better to be safe than sorry even if the demo is outside, one image shows a very close encounter between a copper and that geezer with the sign.

"The US Centers for Disease Control recommends that all Americans wear face masks in public to reduce transmission of Covid-19."

"Using and taking care of your mask:"

"Don’t wear it at home, and don’t wear it in the car, unless you’re with people outside your regular family group. Don’t wear it more than necessary — just wear it when you’re in a public place, like a supermarket, where you might be within 6ft of people."

If you are saying the current government advice is to wear masks outside, you are wrong. It isn't. Our police follow UK advice not American and/or Guardian articles.

.gov.uk tells you it's a UK govt site. If you can correct me on a Uk govt site will happily stand corrected.

Ordinarily neither would I. But I am struggling to see the need for face masks outdoors. The risks are far less than inside.

But that is an aside. Reads to me like the guy is trying to imply the police are ignoring official advice when they are doing nothing of the sort.
