Booing - a helpful guide 15:17 - May 16 with 2251 viewsSTYG

I'm confused having seen some of the newspaper headlines over the weekend.

I think I have it now.

So we can boo whoever we want, under freedom of speech, and football supporters are right to boo players taking the knee over BLM, even if it's because they are horrible racists, because of free speech allowing you to boo who you want.

Unless you boo the monarchy. In which case shame on you. You can't boo the royals, there's no such thing as freedom of speech.

Presumably though, the same newspapers, would have made an exception for Meghan Markle if she was still a royal, saying she can be booed under freedom of speech because of er... well... um... ahh they'll think of something.

It's almost as if there's an agenda here. But I can't quite grasp what it might be.

Can we still boo referees next season?

A Red dwarf reference, well done sir!

Just a shame you didn't get C.L.I.T.O.R.I.S in there.

He's followed it up here with a piece for the Independent.

In a nutshell

you're allowed to boo, unless it's something another person wouldn't.

But only according to that person (i.e. the one that wouldn't boo the issue)

Think I'm getting it
