Austria looking at a lockdown in a few days 16:12 - Nov 11 with 2356 views | StokieBlue | However it's a lockdown with a bit of a difference. It's only going to apply to the unvaccinated who will only be allowed out of their homes to work, exercise and essential shopping. The vaccination rate there is only 65%, the lowest in Western Europe. So this is possibly quite interesting. Do people object more to a lockdown specifically targeting the unvaccinated or vaccine passports for entry to places? SB

Austria looking at a lockdown in a few days on 18:40 - Nov 11 by Swansea_Blue | Wasn't that a vile parallel that some quarters were trying to make earlier in the pandemic? Something about the covid deniers wearing the Star of David. I can't quite remember the details, but it a pretty shameless comparison. |
Is chico being edgy again?!

Austria looking at a lockdown in a few days on 17:03 - Nov 11 by factual_blue | Absolutely fine. And those who go around serving 'legal papers' on nurses and teachers should be bricked in their own houses. |
Just before bricking unvaccinated nurses.

Austria looking at a lockdown in a few days on 16:26 - Nov 11 by J2BLUE | Surely it's impossible to enforce? As much as I want to say it's great and well done them it's surely not going to work? |
It's been exactly what life is like here in NSW for weeks. Need to show proof of Vaccination to do all non essential activities. Can't even go into a retail shop without showing your vaccine passport. An absolute pain to live with, and something I have to personally enforce in my business at risk of a 5 grand fine if I don't. People are sick of it though it has got the Vaccination rate up to 90% double dosed. Far too totalitarian and dystopian for my liking to be honest and hate living with it. Austria looking at a lockdown in a few days on 16:13 - Nov 11 by Ely_Blue | Lock the anti vaxxers up for good, maybe just cull them in the process…….. problem solved |
Bit harsh. Many people are fooled into believing stuff that is against their personal interests. Look how many people vote tory for instance.

Austria looking at a lockdown in a few days on 18:32 - Nov 11 by chicoazul | Maybe the unvaxxed could be made to wear something so everyone knows who they are? I think Austria have experience in that area too. |
"The International Epidemiology Association’s Dictionary of Epidemiology defines a pandemic as “an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people (6). The definition has never been restricted to a specific part of the population like the unvaccinated, the elderly or the obese. The term “pandemic of the unvaccinated” is therefore not an epidemiological or scientific term but rather a political one." https://brownstone.org/articles/this-is-not-a-pandemic-of-the-unvaccinated/ Prof. Dr. Günter Kampf Consultant hospital epidemiologist and Associate Professor for hygiene and environmental medicine at the University Medicine Greifswald, Institute for Hygiene and Environmental Medicine, Germany. 6.
