Brutal sore throat and leg pains this morning and failed a lateral flow.
Had done two tests yesterday evening because I was sensing something was up. They were both negative.
Now had to do the WhatsApp of shame to some people I saw Friday, and yesterday afternoon.
Are you contagious if you are negative on a lateral flow? I’d hope not.

'Over the worst' isn't the same as 'over'. There is still a palpable risk to large numbers of vulnerable people. Ongoing mask-wearing for instance, cost next to nothin and is a proven factor in reducing transmission, yet we've abandoned it because some fannies can't keep a bit of cloth over their gobs for 10 minutes in Tescos.
And, whilst viruses don't have moral(that spelling corrected for you there) compasses, humans DO.
And the decent and proper thing to do is carry o reducing the risk to your fellow man as much as possible. |  |

So how do you judge immunity?
Immunity from death? Immunity from hospitalisation? Immunity from really severe symptoms?
I’d rather have two years of restrictions again than three days of how I’ve felt. I don’t get ill very often and the last few days has been a real eye opener to how bad this must be for those who are elderly or have underlying health issues.
The fact I could pass this onto them horrifies me. I was diligent before when Covid was something that nobody I knew had caught.
It now seems utterly ridiculous that so many people can feel as I’ve done the last few days and potentially be much more seriously ill or die and that this is just how it’s going to be now.
Especially when there are so many simple, considerate things that people could and should be doing to massively slow down the spread even if we learn to live with this situation. Absolutely there’s a balance between lockdowns and people keeping away from the virus and the collapse of the economy and people’s mental health.
It just seems insane that even the Tories have gone for ‘f*** it, let’s just pretend it’s 2019’. [Post edited 20 Mar 2022 21:17]

I hope you and those on here (and anyone with it) are feeling better today.
The OP was very much about showing consideration to others, which Unstableblue did with his friends. For me, this is the key.
At one point in between the two lockdowns, my local pub were using those temperature guns on all going in. The barman told me on one visit that earlier in the day he’d refused entry to a bloke with a temperature of well over 100. The man went ape shouting and bawled it might not be Covid before being kicked out. This of course is irrelevant. The clown clearly had something wrong, might well have been infectious and belonged at home. But he wanted his lunch. Sod everyone else.
Hand washing, sneezing into something, avoiding going out if feeling rubbish, LF tests, sanitiser, advising those you’ve been in contact with if you get it, if premises like the Vets yesterday require mask wearing, wear them - all common sense and basic curtesy. How hard can it be? The only people who have a problem with this are selfish numbskulls. There are far too many in this country.
As those who have it on this forum prove, there is no guarantee of avoiding it and it seems a luck of the draw in how it affects you, but in taking the action he did, Unstableblue will have done all he could to warn and potentially restrict any spread.
