Blackout kit at home!!! on 19:23 - Oct 11 by clive_baker | Probably an element of brown nosing Ed Sheeran a bit too, and lets face it the club needs him more than he needs the club. I get that some people won't love the idea of it and they're entitled to that opinion but it's 1 game ffs. And it is a lovely looking kit, hopefully the players love wearing it and we put on a great show. |

Blackout kit at home!!! on 18:09 - Oct 11 by Radlett_blue | Yes, even more annoying than clubs wearing their 2nd choice kit unnecessarily when away from home. Another curse of modern football. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter, but I still find it annoying as to me it's part of a football club ignoring its heritage & identity. |
Yes, this. See also gifting squad numbers to prominent celebrity fans/sponsors

Blackout kit at home!!! on 19:23 - Oct 11 by Churchman | I’d rather they didn’t do it, but I understand why they are. It happens quite a lot in NFL and Baseball in the US and you could say from a marketing angle why not? But if it was my decision I wouldn’t sanction it. As long as it’s only only once. |
"At first they came for the kit"...etc etc

I’m not crying, I just think it’s a shameless money grab. The types that thrive on Football Banter Pages and support a second PL team will probably love it though

Not aimed directly at you. But those moaning about it.... "We want promotion. We want quality players to get us promoted. "Boooo. The club are doing something which may help with the financing of such transfers.

I'm astonished by that poll. People wanted rid of Evans and people who know how to run a football club brought in instead... then when we get that they're like, oh no we don't want it run like that!
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

Some nifty mental gymnastics there Jerseys. Fans can want the club to be better run but still question or whinge at this one... even though I agree it's not a big deal if it's one or even the odd game here and there. Football is about tradition and tribalism, and the colour your team plays in is a fundamental part of that. Wanting ownership that isn't as disinterested as MEG doesn't mean you aren't attached to football tradition. Tbh I don't give much of a fook. COYFB(lacks) [Post edited 11 Oct 2022 21:41]

You are astonished by most things, so that’s not really a surprise. It’s almost like people can both think that things are generally much better now, yet still think some individual decisions are terrible But yes, clap clap clap, can’t wait until stadium naming rights are sold, think of all the money we’ll get, etc etc

Blackout kit at home!!! on 21:44 - Oct 11 with 714 views | sotd78 | Football :clubs with solid fan bases gain that support from years of tradition. From grandparents, parents and their children all identifying with their club. Say Old Gold and everyone would say Wolves. Say all red and they'd say Liverpool. Hoops and they'd say Celtic or QPR depending on the colour. Blue shirts, white shorts, and preferably white sleeves and they might say Ipswich. In twenty years if we wear non stop black they'll say .... must be Ipswich. Good luck Gamechanger. Fortunately I'll probably not be around to see it.
