Harsh for him to call me a miserable old git because I think inflatables at a mid season football game makes us look tinpot and heaven forbid that people actually go to watch the game!

Pretty sure you can do both. Also with u12 tickets being free will be more kids than usual and I know for one it would add to the excitement of my sons day. It doesn't mean it won't be any less of a raucous atmosphere.

I am a lot older than most who post on here and I absolutely love inflatable day.

I remember one time (for some reason I think it was Fulham) when we spent the first 30 minutes before the game laughing at the assortment of things being thrown around. The atmosphere was amazing. The players loved it too.

For anyone wondering if it spoils the game, it has usually finished before kick off.

Tomorrow we have our grandchildren with us and they will love it and I am sure most of the 7000 will too!

Always thought you were a spring chicken. Hope your grandchildren enjoy the match tomorrow

Probably the most important game of our season. A game where we need every supporter getting vocally behind the team for 90 minutes. Not passing around blow up dildos and inflatable dolls.

Imo, inflatable day should be at the end of the season if we have nothing left to play for.

Problem with that is our last game this season will be at Wembley so it’s difficult to say that won’t be more important.

Gutted to not be there Saturday fwiw. Sounds like it’s going to be incredible.

Interesting point - does fans having fun make a club tinpot? Does continuously singing about a clubs achievements that happened over forty years ago make a club tinpot? Who knows, just go with it and have fun.

To answer your questions, no the first and absolutely yes to the second.

I take it you weren’t at the last inflatable day at Bolton, the season we were relegated.

Plenty of inflatable dicks and blow up dolls. All good fun but not much watching of football.

I’m not taking myself seriously. I’m taking a very important match seriously.

Yes. Not that many of the supporters would have known.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over
