Long, long ago (almost before Football/Soccer was invented as per the Premier League & Sky TV) a man called Ramsey took 11 unknown players playing for an unfashionable club from the Third Division of English football to winning the First Division (now the Championship). Yes I will agree that standards have changed but teams that score goals win matches. We had Philips & Crawford and they managed to stay fit. We had a pair of revolutionary wingers to provide the passes and above all we had 11 players prepared to run and challenge for each other with none of this 'kissing the shirt badge crap'. Can we win in Russia???? If you want to give me a definite NO then you will also have to tell me that the late 1950's and early 1960's never happened......Old Person's Rant Over.
