I disagree, I liked the castle venue for sure it's great when the suns out...like it always is in October...else it's a pain of a venue,theres rain which then means mud,you have to provide all the facilities tents, electricity,water,toilets,security, some guy drops a beer glass by the bandstand you've got volunteers picking tiny bits of glass out of grass.
The motorpoint is secure,I think bigger,still has outside bars and all facilities in built. They'll stay there if they have any sense. Remember the Robin hood beer festival used to be held at the Sneinton leisure centre,nothing quite like drinking beer with the smell of chlorine from the emptied pool you were standing on,but it originated in an indoor venue they only moved to the castle because they ran out of space there ,now they have plenty of space and less organisational hassle |  | | |
