For failing to fufill two fixtures. £20,000 and £50,000 fines as well but half of which are also suspended.

How does this effect Peterborough's league position though?

With them looking much better recently I wonder when the legal challenges from the likes of Southend will come.

Truly impaired.

Why has it been suspended when it happened last season?

Very reasonable and the right decision I think.

They were smart to actually make it an independent commission as the EFL would have been harpooned from some angle or another regardless of what conclusion they made. I do question the decision to punish a club financially though, I still think the fines should be tabled with the former owners rather than the club itself. Too many people treating club ownership as a bit of a personal playground, and it is always the fans that end up shouldering the brunt of the ball ache because of it.

Absolute nonsense for me, way too lenient.

Sets a dangerous precedent of picking and choosing when to play games.

Yep, ludicrous decision

I can understand people having sympathy for Bolton’s plight but of course you have to be punished on the pitch if you fail to fulfill a fixture.

EFL, as useless as they generally are, were in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation here.

Which was a second offence.

The scandal is not coming to a judgment on last season's earlier so they could get 2 in for the price of one on the suspended sentence side.

It does mean there is now a precedent if any other team wishes to do the same. They will know the sentence will be suspended or can be appealed.

All of a sudden the decision to go with an independent inquiry, the very thing i commended them for, seems like it was pointless- if you have an idea of a sanction to impose, just impose it and roll with the punches, otherwise if you want to remain impartial... remain impartial...

Madness and shows total weakness by league. Of course I feel for Bolton fans, but Doncaster particularly must be steaming. Even Peterbro fool has a point, as will Southend and co if Bolton stay up

Quite, they had a good opportunity to get through this with a bit of tutting and passing outrage. I feel this challenge will be turning this molehill into something a lot larger than it would have been otherwise.

I can see the logic behind the lenient suspended sentence and the fine but I think Doncaster should be given a 3-0 win for the match which was postponed without the EFL's permission. What happens now if Doncaster refuse to play it? They know the first strike will be a suspended points deduction because a precedence has been set.

I don't think failing to play one fixture is molehill, let alone two.

The comparison of the situation to a molehill is relative here, not quantitative.
