Captain James Cook had his kids baptised in and worshipped at the church I can just about make out from here. The church has been rebuilt once or twice since thanks to fire and the Luftwaffe but it's the same one.

I've been to 'Captain Cook's' cottage in Melbourne. Although 1. It's his parents' cottage. Not one he ever lived in. 2. It's in Melbourne (dismantled and taken there in 1934 for the city's centenary), which is a place with absolutely no connection to Capt Cook.
