I would have been more than happy if PC was still our manager I'm sure you are well aware of that but the fact is he has been sacked, there is little or no point in provoking those who wanted him out the fact is we were not getting the results under his management and given how its a results business it was inevitable it would happen sooner than later regardless of those who wanted Cook to have more time, I'm not happy he was sacked but at the same time I can also understand why it was done!!
Ashton has underlined in his interview why it was done now and that's basically so a new manager can have the upcoming transfer window at their disposal which given the situation makes sense. |  | | |

I think it is due to a lack of technical posts on TWTD.
Too many posts are simply old school emotional social media style posts, social media moves very fast, if only we had more modern progressive posts on TWTD, then clearly ITFC would be in a better place.

I find it very hard to believe that we would have played that bad with Cook in charge of the team. McGreal was on a hiding to nothing with only an hour or so training on Monday.
But with that said you have a point, sacking a manager (that many of the players wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him being manager) wasn't likely to make a positive impact on the team. I too find it hard to believe that we would have been that poor this evening under Cook.
But we need to move on and move on fast. Cooks gone, nothing is going to change that, and we need a long term replacement in ASAP. I have no idea who that should be, but if we got Lampard.....that would be funny...at least at first. [Post edited 7 Dec 2021 22:52]

Timing possibly wasn’t the best but that Barrow performance on the back or Rotherham and Arsenal was unacceptable and the win against Crewe showed all sorts of issues.
I think tonight we’d have lost with Cook, there is a lot wrong and Ashton has to get in a manager ASAP.
I probably would have only sacked Cook if I had someone lined up but the performances under Cook meant he had to go and I would have hoped that Ashton et al had been sounding out managers for a while now |  |

I am surprised Cook was sacked before Charlton and Wigan. I thought he'd be given these two matches and then sacked if we did poorly in them, with McGreal in charge for Barrow and an announcement made before Sunderland so the new person could be introduced to the crowd. | |

I wanted Cook out weeks ago. The owners didn't so they didn't sack him.
Saturday the owners wants to sack Cook. So they did.
Its not my or any other fans fault he was sacked. If it was my fault it would have happened weeks ago.
