You ‘cook out’ idiots 21:44 - Dec 7 with 8932 views | unstableblue | It was always the players, always, couldn’t you see that?? Worst Town performance since Micks last season. One of the key runs of fixtures and we sack the manager. NO WAY WE WOULD HAVE BEEN THAT BAD WITH COOK IN CHARGE!!!

You ‘cook out’ idiots on 22:14 - Dec 7 with 1065 views | Bluearmy71 | I would have been more than happy if PC was still our manager I'm sure you are well aware of that but the fact is he has been sacked, there is little or no point in provoking those who wanted him out the fact is we were not getting the results under his management and given how its a results business it was inevitable it would happen sooner than later regardless of those who wanted Cook to have more time, I'm not happy he was sacked but at the same time I can also understand why it was done!! Ashton has underlined in his interview why it was done now and that's basically so a new manager can have the upcoming transfer window at their disposal which given the situation makes sense.

this was alway going to be the kind of performance we got. McGreal had an hour with the players. The players know someone else is coming in. We'll know more when a new guy gets appointed. The season is over. It has been for a while though.

You ‘cook out’ idiots on 21:45 - Dec 7 by Wicksy | But Cook chose these players...? |
Did he though....? Would Cook create such an unbalanced squad considering he is wedded to 4-2-3-1? Honestly really thinking Ashton has some blame with where we are if not more. Regardless currently it's descended into a sh!t show for whatever reason whether PC, Players or other influences. One thing is certain, Ashton needs to step up now and turn this around...

You ‘cook out’ idiots on 22:13 - Dec 7 by Mullet | I didn’t, because no one ever does it out of spite and us successful. Also your understatement about this season is superb. Cook should never have just so much so quickly, we saw it kill Hurst before he got going too. |
What should he have had? An instruction to keep some and replace some? Mixing Hurst and Cook is weird. Cook has had success after success. A track record. Hurst had nothing and was full of wind just to get the job.

The season is now OVER Tonight we took 3,400 fans away who were ready TO GO… it was a crucial game. Our BEST chance of getting 3 points was to give Cook a FINAL chance with the PLAYERS he brought into the club We have just witnessed one of the worst Town displays since Micks last season It was completely gutless This is a player performance issue, that is the main issue, that comes with confidence and runs The buck stops with the manager.,,: BUT IT WAS NOT THE RIGHT TIME TO CHANGE THE MANAGER WE ARE IN A DARK PLACE PEOPLE

I think it is due to a lack of technical posts on TWTD. Too many posts are simply old school emotional social media style posts, social media moves very fast, if only we had more modern progressive posts on TWTD, then clearly ITFC would be in a better place. One or two technical posts, followed by a simply hoofing it route one for a big emotional hit when a bit of pressure is applied, is just not good enough.

Come on N2?! Was the right decision to sack Cook ahead of Charlton and Wigan?! Categorically not.. The season ended tonight. This has all been about player performance. It could have come. If it didn’t sack him in the summer. BUT this post is ridiculous thinking putting John McGreal in charge was going to garner points. COME ONE!!!

Unfortunately unlike you I was at Pompey away, and Wycombe away, and Sunderland away What about the first half at Plymouth?! What about Doncaster?! Lincoln What about a myriad of great 30mins of play But OBVIOUSLY cook has FAILED I find it so amusing that people think my post was some OOOOOH I love Cook… what it was… WAS HOW F@cling ridiculous to sack a manager ahead of this run of games?!

Maybe we'd have won this under Cook but we'd then lose the next two. It's never about one game, it's about momentum. Can you please apologise for calling other fans idiots? It's out of order and I don't think it's in your character usually

ive been watching ipswich since 1968. i have a rough idea what a football team looks like. ive also been paying for my season ticket even when there was no football. obviously not a proper fan like you.
You ‘cook out’ idiots on 22:51 - Dec 7 with 770 views | Bugs | I find it very hard to believe that we would have played that bad with Cook in charge of the team. McGreal was on a hiding to nothing with only an hour or so training on Monday. But with that said you have a point, sacking a manager (that many of the players wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him being manager) wasn't likely to make a positive impact on the team. I too find it hard to believe that we would have been that poor this evening under Cook. But we need to move on and move on fast. Cooks gone, nothing is going to change that, and we need a long term replacement in ASAP. I have no idea who that should be, but if we got Lampard.....that would be funny...at least at first. Timing possibly wasn’t the best but that Barrow performance on the back or Rotherham and Arsenal was unacceptable and the win against Crewe showed all sorts of issues. I think tonight we’d have lost with Cook, there is a lot wrong and Ashton has to get in a manager ASAP. I probably would have only sacked Cook if I had someone lined up but the performances under Cook meant he had to go and I would have hoped that Ashton et al had been sounding out managers for a while now

I am surprised Cook was sacked before Charlton and Wigan. I thought he'd be given these two matches and then sacked if we did poorly in them, with McGreal in charge for Barrow and an announcement made before Sunderland so the new person could be introduced to the crowd.

Come on Joe?! Very simple question?! Would we have had that diabolical performance with Cook setting up the players tonight, players HE brought into the team. NO F@CKIN WAY You know that, I know that, everyone knows that. We won our last league game. Cook has failed. We all know that. BUT… keeping him on may have extended the season. Now it’s over and McGreal is like a rabbit in the head lights. JESUS PEOPLE!!!

I wanted Cook out weeks ago. The owners didn't so they didn't sack him. Saturday the owners wants to sack Cook. So they did. Its not my or any other fans fault he was sacked. If it was my fault it would have happened weeks ago. As for the performance tonight it was on par with several other PC games so no idea why you've gone back to Mick.
