Check out the cost of pod parking. It's worth a few quid for the ride to and from the terminal (and isn't always expensive).

Next, check costs for all terminals - sometime T4 can be considerably cheaper and the tfr to T5 isn't a ballache.

Then, consider a hotel fly/park package.

Definitely a Park/Ride option is the best bet. Heathrow have an official offsite parking place with minibus that is good value. But there are some independents who do just as good a job.

When are you going? Official Heathrow Parking website has some good deals and the Pod Parking or the car park joined onto T5 are actually reasonable.

Or stay at a hotel close by the night before and parking is normally about £20-£30 more than room only

Depends how long you are going for and when you book it.

Did valet parking for £133 for 11 days in July and worth every penny to drop your car off and have it there when you return.
