Not sure I've ever seen a lower blow from any elected representative. She's clearly using an out of context clip of Starmer talking about and condemning previous actions in the grooming gangs scandal and presenting it as if he's advocating them.
Edit: As the coward has now protected her tweets, a link to what she retweeted is below.
Imagine being so rattled that you're willing to twist a story about abused children to make a party political point.
1)Tweet yourself and be yourself 2)Tell the truth, all the time 3)Talk less than you listen 4)Tools make it easier and more effective 5)Your team can help you, but can’t do it for you 6)Tweets should never be deleted 7)Hashtags improve engagement, but should be used sparingly 8)Lists save you time 9)Your views aren’t your own 10)Photos and video make it more interesting
Guidelines not a code of conduct so probably not sanctionable, but nevertheless she seems to have fallen foul of a couple of those guidelines

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

So. all deleted now but the message still stinks and hangs around like a fart in a lift.
Should KS be asking for an open apology from the Tory party now too??

She’ll say that she wasn’t aware that the video was edited and receive no censure. They’ll probably mumble about her being in the frontline as a nurse during this crisis blah blah blah.
What it does show is that the Tories are absolutely terrified of Starmer.
I don’t see Johnson being PM at the next election. He had an easy ride against Corbyn but there is no way he will enjoy being schooled by Starmer every week.
I think he’ll stand down due to ill health* sometime in the future. He’s fulfilled his ambition of being PM.
Sunak is in the perfect position to win a leadership election and would be a far more even match for Starmer. He’s also shown to be a One Nation state interventionist Tory rather than an ideological Thatcherite, which is probably what the Tories need for the future if they are going to start relevant.
* he has a genuine excuse after his brush with covid19. He came back far too soon imo and hasn’t looked right since he returned.
Edit. A quick look at the feed from where the tweet originally came shows it to be a right wing equivalent of the Canary. Full of vile and hatpred. No mainstream politician should be retweeting stuff from this feed.

Think that depends upon who is in the driving seat with regard to the leadership. If it's still the same members who overwhelmingly backed Johnson, they're unlikely to go for a candidate as "reasonable" as Sunak.
If that approach is sufficiently battered and discredited (with Brexit safely in the bag), then there might be a change of direction.

Dorries has removed the tweet.
Job done though.
Dories is a Health Minister and has specific responsibilities for suicide prevention etc. Maybe she needs to reflect on the effect these scurrilous posts might have on Starmer and his family........

I should say so. Item 9 on that list covers it, part of the explanation of that is
" The fact that you hold public office means that your views will be interpreted by people as representing the views of your position and party."
So, as it is accepted that MPs twees will be interpreted as representing the views of the party, there should be an apology from the party to put that straight.
They should all issue a full apology and retweet the full video which shows what Starmer really said.
If anyone's in any doubt, this is the view of one of the people who uncovered the grooming scandal
Worth bookmarking for future social media defence when this undoubtedly raises it's head again, say for example, after Boris gets his ar5e served on a plate again at PMQ's.

If you search her account, click the 3 dots you can report it to twitter if that does anything at all?
I dunno if twitter is particularly good or active at that sort of thing.
It is, I've reported stuff & people in the past & they've been removed (iirc took up to a week, incl notifiying me it had been done & thanking me for reporting).
That's insane, what on earth does she think that's going to achieve?
In fairness, she's getting absolutely hammered on this tweet now.

You really have to be thick as sh*t to libel a QC, as a fair few people are pointing out.
Should provide a nice moment at the next PMQs, given that the PM is on record saying that investigating historic child sex abuse is 'spaffing money up the wall.'
