The End of the Evans Era 20:36 - Dec 4 with 548 viewsNeedhamChris

For me, this is the moment that finally marks the end of the Marcus Evans era. There have been many Evan's decisions that have disappointed, and tbh he saved the most disappointing until last. It really is a new dawn now.

We've all got different opinions on whether it should have happened. I just don't think it's been working for a while, and might be case of right man wrong club. For all of the sparring on here, 95% of us who have been critical of Cook would have happily ate humble pie if we'd really got going. For those saying it's a disgusting decision and he was treated badly - it's no worse than how Cook treated the players last season.

When it comes to the new manager - who knows what we'll get. Morsy and Celina are not realistic League 1 targets for anyone else but we got them. So there's nothing stopping us attracting a top-quality head coach. For all the negativity - this is a great project.

The PackoutPR games are now a really exciting prospect, and what a welcome it would be if we've appointed by then! Bring it on!

Evans still has a 5% stake - he's continuing to hang around!

But no longer with any real say. Cook was Evans' final appointment as manager. Much as the current owners stated he was near the top of their list, they didn't actually appoint him. If they had, I suspect Leam Richardson would have been part of the deal.

That's a very interesting take re Richardson, I think you might well be right, but doubt we'll ever know.

Agree with the OP tho, and have been feeling the same. It's all Gamechanger's now. Bearing that in mind, can "We Live in Interesting Times" now please replace "BCWYWF" as our catchphrase?! Please, everyone! 🙏
