What is the point in VAR 18:27 - May 29 with 4689 views | NeedhamChris | I wanted Forest to win this, but Huddersfield have been robbed here.

I agree.. on 12:04 - May 30 by Garv | Agree to disagree on that one. Contact can't automatically mean foul, that's mad. |
Colback knew what he was doing, he even put his arms in close to his body, but stuck his leg out. Deliberate and definitely a foul.

I agree.. on 11:00 - May 30 by PhilTWTD | Will have to agree to strongly disagree, he is clearly clipped when running into the area at pace and is brought down, regardless of whether he makes anything of the fall. If the referee doesn't see that then VAR has to. |
I agree Phil, if the Huddersfield lad had stayed on his feet after being clipped would he have been given a penalty? No. I think we've all done it when running quickly as a child, young adult or adult (not so much for me now), if you are clipped it does throw you completely off balance, it doesn't need a hefty challenge. I felt at the time it looked a penalty and watching the replays it simply highlights the fact further for me.

I agree.. on 12:06 - May 30 by Garv | Was he running that fast? I think you see players, albeit rarely, ride a challenge when they really want to. The footage suggests he could easily have planted his foot even after getting clipped, but he decides not to and to hit the deck. |
He was breaking into the area and was switching direction as the challenge was made. Colback clearly catches one lower leg and knocks it into the other.

Do we need VAR to look at the thread?

Indeed, doesn't take much if you're at pace. Very poor that VAR didn't overturn it.
